One of the best things about Minecraft is the terrain. It’s so varied and often beautiful. But sometimes downright weird. And when you get several floating islands in one seed, you can’t help but ask, ‘Minecraft, r u ok hun?’
This seed for Java 1.16 spawns you next to the first floating island. It looks as though the top of the hill is trying to lift off into space. There’s even a small waterfall coming out the side. Just watch out for monsters in the darkness underneath!
It’s worth heading over to (223, 70, -300) for a cheeky bit of loot at a ruined nether portal near to spawn.
Then, heading back in the direction you came from, there are several other bits of really weird terrain generation which could make for some interesting builds. This next one is at (198, 68, -170).
Eagle-eyed readers will have spotted the top of a villager house in the last picture. If you head over to (215, 65, 151) you’ll find a plains Minecraft village nestled in a tiny bit of grassland between the floating islands and a snowy tundra biome.
What would you build with this weird terrain? Let us know in the comments!
